Paris Hilton sings the blues?

Get out the ear plugs: Paris Hilton has started her singing career.

According to a report on TMZ, Hilton sang a cover of Rod Stewart's 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy' on Sunday night at a Madonna concert afterparty at Tao in Las Vegas.

Said the report: "The hotel heiress, who has an album coming out soon, danced on stage and flashed her backside giving the audience, which included her parents and sister Nicky, a full-moon view."

Nice.

Hilton has said her upcoming album will be a mix of reggae, pop and hip-hop, with the first single being a reggae song called, "Stars Are Blind."

LEt's just hope this star isn't tone-deaf, too.

Jailbird LOST star set free

Former LOST star Michelle Rodriguez was issued a figurative Get Out of Jail Free card: the actress was released from Los Angeles County Jail on Thursday after serving a mere four hours and 20 minutes of her two-month jail sentence.

"Our prosecutors are not happy about it, but that is the sad reality of our overcrowded jails," said the Los Angeles County district attorney's spokeswoman Contessa Mankiewicz.

Rodriguez was sentenced to 60 days in jail for violating probation due to a DUI arrest in Hawaii. On the night of her release she was spotted at the Tropicana Bar at the Roosevelt Hotel, and later on Monday night at the Hollywood club Shag.

Instead of jail, Rodriguez, 27, must now perform 30 days of community service and serve two years probation.

Monday

Shiloh Brangelina?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have continued the Hollywood tradition of using really dumb names for kids: Their newborn daughter has been named -- get ready -- Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt.

Catchy name. For a DISEASE.

Shiloh will vie with Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 1, for attention in the Jolie-Pitt Household.

The name Shiloh has a longstanding translation from the Bible that means "the peaceful one". This is not to be confused with the Civil War battle of Shiloh, where more than 20,000 troops were killed.

The couple's next child will reportedly be named "Chernobyl Blowdupski Jolie-Pitt".

Teri Hatcher to play mom

Teri Hatcher with her clothes on. No, she is not nude.Teri Hatcher will lend her voice to the animated flick 'Coraline', playing the mother of a little girl who steps into a world that appears to be a much better version of her own reality.

Based on Neil Gaiman's short children's novel of the same name, Coraline is a young bored girl who discovers that bricked-up wall behind a door in her flat leads to another world, with another mother, and another father. The animated film features Dakota Fanning as the voice of the little girl.

The animated film is currently in production and is set for a 2007 release.

Costner and wife splitting?

Kevin Costner and wife Christine Baumgartner splitting up? Uh, not so fast, claims Costner's rep.

Paul Bloch released the following statement concerning the rumor: "The story is false. They sold their house in Hollywood and they are moving to Santa Barbara. Kevin is on location and Christine is getting the house ready.

"Christine Costner is on her way to Shreveport where Kevin Costner is shooting 'Mr. Brooks.' They'll both then go to Providence, RI for daughter Annie's graduation from Brown University. The Costners will then head back to Los Angeles where Kevin will continue to help Christine with the move. After that, Kevin will go back and finish shooting the remaining several weeks of 'Mr. Brooks.'"

In other words, nothing to see here. Move along, folks.

Jared Leto says he's gay

In an AIM Interview with AOL Music, actor and musician Jared Leto typed these words into AOL Instant Messenger:

ThirtySecondLeto: I’ll give you an exclusive....
TyeinMusic: ooh. lay it on me
ThirtySecondLeto: I’m gay
TyeinMusic: *!*
TyeinMusic: please tell me you're serious
ThirtySecondLeto: as a goose.

Leto, who twice has been named one of PEOPLE magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People, is on tour with his band, 30 Seconds to Mars, and he has a new album coming out: 'A Beautiful Lie.'

Leto is known to have dated some of Hollywood's leading women, including Cameron Diaz, Britney Spears, Scarlett Johansson, Lindsey Lohan and Ashley Olsen.

Even more interesting (at least to StarChatter) is that he apparently hooked up at least once with porn starlet Corina Taylor. Taylor later gushed “I’ve been a porn actress for three years and Jared was the most I ever had to work with."

Well-endowed star banger now gay? Or was he just kidding? Time will tell!

Lindsay Lohan nudeAccording to a report in People magazine, Lindsay Lohan and Stavros Niarchos were seen together five days before he and Paris Hilton broke up last month.

Probably just good frinds. Riiiiight.

Mischa Barton: better off dead

Mischa Barton semi-nudeAccording to a report in Newsweek magazine, Mischa Barton says it was better to be killed in a car wreck on "The O.C." than to leave the Fox teen drama in "one of those lame farewells."

Barton's character, Marissa Cooper, died in the arms of ex-boyfriend Ryan Atwood (Benjamin McKenzie) after Ryan lost control of his sport utility vehicle and crashed. The third season's final episode aired last week.

"Well, I was really excited that I get to die, to be honest," the 20-year-old actress told Newsweek.

"I've done pretty much everything else with the character. It was better than one of those lame farewells."

Marissa had been central to "The O.C." since the show's debut in 2003. The Newport Beach teen had battled depression and drug and alcohol abuse, had a brief lesbian relationship and was expelled from her posh high school for shooting a man.

Although rumors flew in recent months that Barton was ready to leave the show, she says her departure was the producers' decision.

Will she ever return to "The O.C." in a dream sequence?

"Oh, God. I hope not. That would be cheesy."

60 days in slammer for Rodriguez

Former LOST star Michelle Rodriguez has been sentenced to 60 days in jail for probation violation.

Rodriguez, 27, was on probation in Los Angeles for charges stemming from two separate incidents that occurred in the Hollywood area in 2003. She violated the terms of her probation when she was pulled over and failed a sobriety test on December 2, 2005 on Kalahiana’ ole Highway. She plead guilty to a DUI and opted to spend five days in jail rather than complete 240 hours of community service.

The Los Angeles charges stemmed from a July 22, 2003 accident when Rodrguez committed a hit-and-run. Then a little less than four months later, on November 4, 2003, she was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Rodriguez must also enter an alcohol rehab program, perform 30 days of community service, and participate in programs run by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Ah, well. So much for the good life.

Lohan to hit the big screen

According to Variety, Lindsay Lohan and Annette Bening will star in the bigscreen adaptation of Oscar Wilde's "A Woman of No Importance."

Myriad Pictures, which is selling worldwide rights to the picture, is producing with Donald Zuckerman, Sarah Radclyffe and Howard Himelstein. A fall start date is planned.

The film is an adaptation of Wilde's tale about an ambitious young man, Gerald Arbuthnot, who introduces his prospective employer, Lord Illingworth, to his mother. But she realizes that Illingworth is the man who jilted her long ago and is Gerald's father.

Sounds really dull. But with Lindsey Lohan on board, at least the film will be decent to look at.

Manhattan smackdown: Axl vs. Tommy

Apparently Axl Rose and Tommy Hilfiger don't get along.

The rocker and designer topped off a Thursday evening outing at The Plumm in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood with a late night slapfest.

The unrehearsed smackdown reportedly started after the Guns N' Roses front man moved the drink of Hilfiger's girlfriend, Dee Ocleppo.

"I moved his girlfriend's drink so it wouldn't spill," Rose told the Los Angeles radio station KROQ on Friday. "It was the most surreal thing, I think, that's ever happened to me in my life."

According to the 44-year-old singer, Hilfiger, 55, smacked him in the arm and told him to put the drink back.

"He just kept smacking me," Rose said.

Rose was there to play a surprise set for "Rent" actress Rosario Dawson for her 27th birthday party.

The Plumm was jammed with a celebrity crowd including Lenny Kravitz, Mickey Rourke, Kid Rock, Peter Beard, Molly Simms, Wentworth Miller, Ann Dexter Jones, Lydia Hearst and Damon Dash.

Rose did perform, and dedicated the song "You're Crazy" to "my good friend Tommy Hilfiger."

Film director's porn-filled past

Gregory Dark, the director of the new slasher/thriller "See No Evil" has a sordid past -- and we're not talking about the music video by Britney Spears he directed.

No, what studio heads at Lions Gate Entertainment have played down is the fact that Dark was at one time one of America's top porn directors. Dark directed a slew of hardcore and softcore skin flicks in the 1980s and 1990s, including "Hootermania", "New Wave Hookers" and "Sexual Outlaws" under the name Alexander Hippolyte, Gregory Brown and The Dark Brothers.

"See No Evil" is his first major motion picture and was released nationwide on May 19th. Critical reviews have universally trashed the film.

Perhaps Dark should return to his roots?

Madonna desperate for attention

Madonna: She's old and ugly.Over the hill and fading fast, the one-time pop icon Madonna is in full-force desperation mode to get attention.

At her world tour opening in Los Angeles, she hung herself from a cross, hurled some lame insults in the direction of the president of the United States (isn't that getting a bit cliche?), and generally made a fool of herself by trying to do some sexy dance moves. YUCK!

The 47-year-old hag spent two hours mangling half-baked tunes from her new album, "Confessions on a Dancefloor," as well as a few old hits such as "Like a Virgin," "Ray of Light" and "Lucky Star."

All we at StarChatter can say is: Give it a rest, you ugly old biatch!

Deal or No Deal: The Models

Donna, one of the Models on Deal or No DealThe Models of television game show Deal or No Deal are reportedly generating considerable buzz for the show -- and for obvious reasons.

The models, 32 in all, are prominent eye candy on the show, and it's rumored that several are in negotioations for a bigger slice of the pie. The ratings for the show have gone up tremendously, some say in part because of the interest generated by the contestants' and host's interaction with the models.

The producers apparently want to play up that angle, and have added a photo gallery of the sometimes scantily clad ladies to the show's web site. Several of the models have already appeared in music videos, television commercials and in men's magazines such as Maxim and FHM.

No doubt some of the models have bigger, um, aspirations and will move on, but who can blame them for telling the producers: Deal or No Deal?

Visit the show's model gallery.

Mischa Barton leaving The O.C.?

Mischa BartonMischa Barton apparently has confirmed the rumor that she is leaving popular television series The O.C.

No word on what her future plans may be, but insiders say she's been reviewing scripts for several big-screen opportunities.

For those of you who may have missed the series, Romijn-Stamos plays the title character 'Pepper Dennis' -- a beautiful and ambitious reporter with her sights set on anchoring Chicago's top-rated evening news broadcast. Her career is her top priority, but she does have close friends -- especially the station's makeup artist Kimmy and cameraman Chick, who has a secret crush on Pepper.

Check it out if you get a chance.

Andrea Lowell: Mentally exhausted?

Asked by TV Guide about her role in VH1's Surreal Life, former Playboy pinup Andrea Lowell said it was "mentally exhausting."

"You think you know because you watch TV and you see the reality shows," said Lowell. "You're like, 'Oh, my god, look at these morons. I'm not going to do that.' You go on thinking that you're going to be a certain way and then you get there, and it's like, 'Wow, this is difficult.'"

Mmm hmm. R-i-i-i-i-i-ght.

I'm sure being locked in a house full of egotistical weirdos while being filmed 24/7 is stressful. But I'm sure the pay ain't too shabby.

Britney: My baby's my religion

According to Britney Spears' blog, Kabbalah is out, diapers are in.

"I no longer study Kabbalah, my baby is my religion," noted Spears in a recent entry.

Well, aside from making Madonna really mad, Britney's revelation is not terribly surprising. What's not to like about "frow up" and "poo poo pants"? How could any religion compete with that?

But seriously, did anyone out ther think Britney developed deep spiritual roots? I didn't think so.

It's official: Eva Longoria is hot

For the second year in a row, Eva Longoria has topped Maxim’s annual “Hot 100” list of the most successful women in film, TV, music, sports and fashion.

“The Maxim Hot 100 continues to get hotter, and it is all because of girls like Eva Longoria, who always looks sensational and continues to reach new heights in her career,” Editor in Chief Ed Needham said in a statement Monday.

Sienna: more than a smile

Sienna Miller bares more than her pretty smile in a recently uncovered video.

The video shows the English actress posing for the 2003 Pirelli Calendar. Miller, who appeared on the October calendar page, is seen cavorting about in the nude with Australian model Lisa Seiffert.

The film begins with Miller and Seiffert lounging in their underwear and eating ice cream. The two then alternatively strip, dance, and pose in various states of undress. At one point as the two are dancing, Miller's boob pops out of her black negligee. The two girls then engage in a kiss on the lips.

Britney pregnant? Yes, sir!

Britney Spears told David Letterman during a surprise visit to his Late Show on Tuesday that she is indeed pregnant.

"Don't worry, Dave, it's not yours," the singer joked.

"Oh. Well, I think that's good news for both of us," Letterman responded.

Spears appeared on the show unannounced after a commercial break and read the evening's Top 10 List. After sitting and chatting with Letterman for a few moments, he quipped: "So, we've established now that you are, in fact, pregnant, is that right?"

"Yes sir," Spears replied.

"I always knew the rug was going to be taken out from underneath me at some stage," Kidman says. "I didn't think it was going to happen in the way it happened. I had seen my mother battle breast cancer, so I had a fear of my health being jeopardized _ that was really where I was thinking mine would come.

Richie anorexic?

Nicole Richie admits she's too skinny, but blames her weight loss on the breakup with her boyfriend last year.

"I know I'm too thin right now, so I wouldn't want any young girl looking at me and saying, 'That's what I want to look like,' " Richie told Vanity Fair in its June issue. Cruise: no placenta for dinner

Tom Cruise flashed his best Hollywood smile as he greeted a hotel ballroom packed with journalists in Mexico's capital earlier this week.

He was in town to promote his new film, "Mission: Impossible III," which opens in theaters Friday, but did his best to put to rest at least one whacky rumor swirling around the birth of his daughter with fiancee Katie Holmes.

Holmes, 27, gave birth last month in Los Angeles to the couple's daughter, Suri.

When a reporter asked about a widely circulated comment Cruise made in an
interview with GQ magazine about eating his child's placenta, Cruise laughed
and said, "That's ridiculous."

He later said he doesn't pay attention to media reports that criticize his
personal life.

ABC pulls 'Commander in Chief'

ABC TV has pulled the plug on its ratings-challenged drama, "Commander in Chief."

The network announced it was pulling the Geena Davis series for the rest of May sweeps and instead running "Primetime" in its 10 p.m. Thursday slot for the final three weeks of the season.

The series started as one of the most-watched in the fall and Davis won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of the first female U.S. president.

But two extended breaks and behind-the-scenes changes as well as a schedule move from Tuesday to Thursday all contributed to a deep slide in ratings.

"Commander's" three Thursday night shows have averaged about 7.5 million viewers, which means half the viewers who tuned in during the fall are now focused elsewhere, Zap2it.com said.

ABC said it would probably air the final three episodes sometime during the summer.

Anna Nicole Smith wins court case

Former Playboy Playmate of the Year Anna Nicole Smith won a unanimous U.S. Supreme Court ruling on Monday and gets a new chance to collect millions of dollars she says her late Texas oil tycoon husband promised her.

The Supreme Court overturned an appeals court ruling that the former topless dancer was entitled to nothing because federal courts lacked jurisdiction to hear claims that are also involved in state probate hearings.

Smith, who was just 26 when she married oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall, then 89, in 1994. They met three years earlier when she was a dancer in a Houston strip club.

Marshall was one of the wealthiest men in Texas, worth more than an estimated $1.6 billion. His death after 14 months of marriage triggered a legal battle between his son, E. Pierce Marshall and Smith, who also had a reality show.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said in Monday's ruling that the appeals court was wrong and the district court properly asserted jurisdiction over Smith's claims against Marshall's son, E. Pierce Marshall.

Smith said that her husband promised her half of his estate. The son said the more than $6 million in gifts she received in 1994 was all his father wanted her to get.

In Texas, a state probate court ruled that E. Pierce Marshall was entitled to his father's estate.

But in California, a federal bankruptcy judge ruled for Smith and awarded her $474 million because of her claims the son had interfered with the inheritance she was supposed to receive.
