Emmy Award Nominees!

The 58th Annual Emmy Award nominees have been announced, and it looks like "24" is the big gainer with 12 nominations, followed up by "Grey's Anatomy" with 11. Last year's big hit, "Desperate Housewives" garnered only a handful of nominations, most of them for non-acting awards. (A snub? Starchatter thinks it is, and deservedly so. The show suffered from major drift this season.)

A few highlights:

Lead actor in a comedy series
Larry David as Himself, Curb Your Enthusiasm
Kevin James as Doug Heffernan, The King Of Queens
Tony Shalhoub as Adrian Monk, Monk
Steve Carell as Michael Scott, The Office
Charlie Sheen as Charlie Harper, Two And A Half Men

Lead actress in a comedy series
Lisa Kudrow as Valerie Cherish, The Comeback
Jane Kaczmarek as Lois, Malcolm In The Middle
Stockard Channing as Lydia Barnes, The New Adventures Of Old Christine
